Event browsing

The current application does not require an account. If you choose “Use my location,” the browser sends coordinates with that event-search request; Happens.city uses them to select the nearest supported city edition and calculate distance. Coordinates are not placed in sponsor reports.

Recommendation learning

Happens.city stores daily aggregate counts when an event card remains visibly on screen, an event detail page is viewed, a ticket link is opened, or someone selects “Good pick” or “Not for me.” These totals are grouped by event and broad intent; they do not include an account, advertising identifier, IP address, or individual browsing history.

Sponsor measurement

When a sponsored card is at least half visible, Happens.city records one aggregate impression. Sponsor clicks are also counted. These totals contain the campaign, day, placement, impressions, and clicks—not an advertising ID, profile, or browsing history.

Google advertising

When Google AdSense is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to Happens.city or other websites. Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, or use web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, and activity data to select, deliver, and measure ads. Those Google-served ads are visually separated from event results.

You can control or opt out of personalized Google advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. Where required, the site presents consent choices before using advertising technology.

Sponsorship inquiries

The advertising form stores the business name, contact name, email, website, audience, budget range, and message you submit so the site operator can follow up. Do not submit sensitive personal information.

Event and sponsor links may open third-party websites. Their privacy practices apply after you leave Happens.city.
